During the mid 90s, Walters helped run and maintain club nights in the bars of Chicago, showcasing his skill at the likes of Kaboom and the Shelter. Upon his return to London, Walters quickly became a resident fixture in the legendary jazz club in London’s Soho district, Ronnie Scott’s and began his famed collaborations with Phil Asher under the Blak’n’Spanish moniker.

His debut album as Afronaught entitled ‘Shapin Fluid’ was released to critical acclaim in 2001 through R&S subsidiary Apollo.
Under his Afronaut alias, Walters is also a West London A&R co Ordinator, co founder of the Coop club night and record label and has remixed and collaborated with the likes of Leon Ware, Macy Gray, N’dambi, Bahamadia, 4 Hero, Nuyorican / Puerto Rican percussionists Giovanni Hildago, Roberto Roena and the late, great Amy Whinehouse.
