Astronaut 7 is created by Adelaide musician Tom Trainor. Astronaut 7 was originally a classically trained pianist and picked up the drums to join a university band. He then picked up the bass to play in a cover band, ‘Wasabi’, with his brother. After playing ‘Steal My Kisses’ at one too many weddings, he decided to turn his hand to original works.
“Love for all of us” is the first release from the Adelaide singer songwriter. The single features two songs packed with emotion heart-warming melodies and dramatic changes in style. Stylistically, the EP has been compared to Bloc Party, Something for Kate and New Order. Tom plays on the majority of the instruments on the CD and has called on friends from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to perform the string sections.
Astronaut 7 are now getting solid airplay on the NOVA network, and college radio throughout the US. Astronaut 7 injects a big oxygen bubble into a market that often finds itself panting for creative breath.
Astronuat 7 is distributed digitally to the world by Blue Pie.
