Another heat won and another shoutout to us! Down3r and Lokust dominating April's race day!
16 May 2022

In late April, Down3r took part in his long time hobby of car racing, and he brought his crew out with him to see the action! Thanks to Your Favourite Rapper’s Favourite Crippled Rapper, Lokust Luciano and his main photography man E, we got some insider footage of the big day out, and it looks like it was a good time for all involved. We even have some exclusive BTS shots of the event prep!

While DL didn’t win the main event, he won his heat which is an important bar to reach. This race wasn’t a championship event, but it’s only a matter of time before Down3r takes home the gold for that. The Oildale dustbowl got tore up real good, and there’ll be plenty more to come, you just watch. E got some great shots of the behind-the-scenes race setup action.

But there’s more to celebrate than just the race. If you listen good to the vid, you’ll hear another series of shoutouts like Lokust and Down3r gave to our Latin American team, but this time for both LATAM and us over here in Australia, as well as our CEO Damien, and Blue Pie and DJ Central around the world in general! Blue Pie and DJ Central work closely on many things and also share several staff members, so a shoutout to one is a shoutout to the other… a sick bonus, yeah? Down3r, Lokust and E all gave us ALL the love of Christmas in April. They’re out here doing cinematic work, and repping Suga Boom Boom and the Blue Pie logo on the side of DL’s car! Lokust has said he’ll be getting the Blue Pie logo as a tattoo soon which is hella exciting, we can’t wait.

But in case you’ve been living under a rock, who are these dudes shouting all of us out?

Lokust Luciano was born William Arciszewski on June 21st, 1988 as a premature baby, and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He grew up in North Fort Myers and began writing poetry at the tender age of 9 years old. He is the first rapper with Cerebral Palsy, and has been active in multiple facets of the Hip-Hop scene since 1998. He moved to Florida for leg surgery when he was very young, as the medical world at the time (1988) didn’t have a solid understanding of Cerebral Palsy yet, so he had to seek out an expert specialist. Orlando was the only place he could go for it, and he came out on the other side grinning. He is well known in the underground music scene for his production talent and lyrical delivery. He is also sometimes known by the handle “Crippled Kingpin”.

The adversities he has overcome are now a part of his personal aesthetic, showing his strength and sturdy sense of humour. His creative drive is unstoppable, and we’re sure you’ll agree when you see some of the hits from his catalogue that have been turning heads his way! We’ll see you there, and until next time, do what we’re planning to do… keep your ear to the ground for some spicy new releases from the Kingpin himself!

As for Down3r… through fierce and funky west coast rap, DL Down3r shares his prolific work with the rest of the world, and the stage with west coast rap legends such as Coolio, Brown Boy, Jay Tablet, Lil Young, Snoopyblue, LadyDice, Baby Bash, Steel City Hustlers, King Z and DJ Kane to name a few.

From powerful messages, lyrical poetry and sharp comments on society, to G-funk and Trap/EDM hype songs, he proves that age and experience is the opposite of a liability in today’s rap game. Blast it loud, get ready to feel something, and rest assured knowing that hip hop never died!
