Blue Pie appoints Ralph Ehmann

Blue Pie is pleased to announce the expansion of the Blue Pie Europe Team with the appointment of Ralph Ehmann as Blue Pie’s representative in the Netherland Antilles + Global Head of New Content Acquisition for Heavy Metal and Rock for Blue Pie Europe. As part of the Blue Pie Global Business Development Team, Ralph works with Damien Reilly and Stephen Wrench to expand Blue Pie’s global roster of metal and heavy metal acts. Ralph is an industry veteran and has been in the music business for over 35 years. Ralph Ehmann is also the CEO and Founder of Winds of Change Records and Winds of Change Music in St. Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles. He has a Bachelor degree Civil Engineer that he completed in Germany. Ralph has had a life of involvement and passion for the music industry. He has worked as a Sound/Monitor engineer, Tour manager, Stage manager, Logistic manager on worldwide tours for artists including Motoerhead, Lee Aaron, Jennifer Rush, Bad English, Foreigner, Jethro Tull, Manowar, Autograph, Scorpions, Ron Wood & Bo Didley, Night of Guitars, Wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep, Fela Kuti, Ziggy Marley, Black Uhuru, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Dire Straits, Jefferson Starship, Placido Domingo, Berlin Symphonic Orchestra, King Diamond, Anthrax, Slayer, The Wailors, Roger Chapman, Eric Burdon, Gianna Nannini, Bobby Womack, Dennis Brown, Meat Loaf, Metallica, Molly Hatchet, Victory and a lot more German bands. Ralph has also collaborated with producers like: Chris Tsangarides, Dieter Dirks, Jeff Glixman, Russ Titelman, Jerry Lynn Williams. Toward the end of the 80’s Ralph created the idea of ‘The World of Art’. The idea was to re-open the fantastic Montserrat Air Studios in an amazing environment. At the beginning of 2000 he found the perfect island -St. Maarten – the Friendly Island. Infrastructure, international Airport, Caribbean flair, nightlife, good restaurants, it was all there. Over the years several well-known producers and musicians joined the team and the idea grow into not only a record studio, but an Art City and an University for Media and Arts. In 2010 Ralph and his team found the perfect property in Dawn Beach, a 10 acre beautiful landscape. The place is very private and exclusive so that all the worlds elite music stars will feel extremely comfortable and creative. Ralph is a man that understands the creative genius process and for this reason he is building one of the worlds best recording and production facilities. Together with Blue Pie and the Blue Pie labels we will see a new era in music productions and recording. The new Montserrat Studios will be completely refurbished with a multimillion dollar make over. The studio is set to reopen in 2011. The “sleeping beauty” will awake to produce new music like never before. This will be music that will change the world forever. The Winds of Change Record label and the new Winds of Change Music Production house will be a hub of musical production, talent development and film sound track develop. Working with the best of the best, we are truly honoured to announce this new direction for Blue Pie.
