Flamenco Guitarist virtuoso, Faramarz Aslani will be touring Australia between September 28 and October 1. Blue Pie’s emerging Persian hip-hop artist, K1 Shah, made the connection with Faramarz Aslani over the past 2 years and previously toured with him throughout Australia in 2011. You’ll be able to find him in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, so don’t miss your chance to see him live!
‘He’ll be playing his album Khatte Sevvom featuring songs such as “The Third Line”, “Stranger in Town”, “Tired”, and many more. In addition to Aslani’s performance, K1 Shah will be playing one of his new songs that has never been heard before and of course this will feature Aslani on guitar. K1 shares a very strong relationship with Aslani and through this connection a second tour for 2012 was brokered. Aslani and K1 combined bring the magic and transcendental elements of Aslani’s guitar mixed with K1’s contemporary urban hip hop style that makes for some truly unique music.
Faramarz is a singer/guitarist from Iran who became well-known for his hit song, “Ageh Ye Rooz…” that was released in the late 1970’s. In 1979, Faramarz left Iran and headed towards England with his family where he continued to pursue his music career as well as work as a journalist. In 1992 he began a US tour and attracted much attention all over the states. For 35 years he has produced and performed various types of music that reaches to many different audiences.
