Helene Grover gets the love!
08 Mar 2011

Helene Grover, one of Australia’s greatest chicks that ever rocked gets the love from the “Chicks that Rocked Exhibition” in Melbourne.

Though the rock ‘n’ roll sensation of the 1950s was highly dominated by male singers, Helene Grover was a notable exception, who wrote the song ‘Barefoot Boy’ in her teenage years! Recorded by Noeleen Batley in 1960 it became the first national hit for an Australian female performer.

Helene has been on the label for over 15 months now and we are all excited about having such a prolific established hit writer from the 60’s on the roster.

We love you Helene! And we are super excited to see what the future brings for you!
