On the 15th of January at 8pm, singer/songwriter Dane Aaron will perform his tightly crafted and razor sharp original songs, with his soulful growl, and lightning flashes from his hollow –body electric guitar at the Henry Turners’ Listening Room. With an amazing voice that Aaron has honed, will perform his songs from his recent EP, Saturday
Calling on a wide-ranging love and knowledge of musical styles, Aaron’s original songs channel the everyman storytelling of John Prine, the eerie drama of Tom Waits, and even the pop sensibility of Neil Diamond, offering a blend roots/rock and blues that is wholly unique.
Dane Aaron was raised in Minnesota, hitting into the music at an early age, performing at venues such as the Norshore theatre and the Duluth tap room, before he could even buy a drink at the bar. In 2011, he was on the road, full time, playing guitar with trio Saint Anyway. After touring with the trio, he then began writing his own songs and teamed up with the producer duo, Fifth Nation, and resulted in Dane’s debut EP named Saturday, released on the 30th of August 2014.
With a cost of $10 it includes a soul food side dish, for more information check out the venue at 2733 North Street, Baton rough Louisiana 70802. Remember check out Henry Turner JR’s Facebook and Website for more information.
