Canadian rapper, activist and fashion designer Joey Stylez has released his eagerly awaited album “I Told you”. Joey Stylez has built a reputation for producing provocative hip-hop, which doesn’t hold back from addressing the topical social issues affecting the youth of America.
Stylez’s latest track is a fierce and provocative tale of the remorseless hedonism of American contemporary society. The track guest stars industry heavy weights and Stylez’ crewmembers Pat Silva and Apostle. The group throws down lines reiterating Stylez message, telling us in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t give a f*#k about anything except drugs and money. But don’t let appearances fool you, Stylez may rap about drugs and excess but the Canadian born rapper is is famously known to be vegan, sober and an advocate of healthy active living.
Stylez has the goods to back up his iconic hip-hop image, receiving numerous accolades for his musical out put. Most recently Joey has been named on the Top 25 Canadian rappers of all time by CBC Music, Joey mentors established and up-and-coming hip-hop acts through his label Stressed Street Entertainment. His debut album The Blackstar was released on November 23, 2009 earning Stylez a Juno Nomination and three APCMA awards, including Best Music Video for his song “Sugarcane”, Best Pop Album and Songwriter of the Year.
