The talented Ms Kama Linden received a lot of love and applause for her live performance at the Make Music festival in New York last week.
During her live performance at an open venue, Kama sang her crowd-pleasing songs to the New Yorkers who listened with intent and joy. Kama also felt honoured to play at one of the biggest music gigs that New York has to offer. Along with Kama, hundreds of musicians across many genres performed live to hundreds of New York civilians.
Make Music in New York (MMNY) is known as the “largest music event ever to grace Gotham” (Metro New York). It involves musicians performing free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of NYC, all on June 21st, which is known as the first and longest day of summer. MMNY takes place simultaneously with similar festivities in more than 514 cities around the world — a global celebration of music making. MMNY goes for 12 hours from 10am to 10 pm and musicians from all kinds of genres perform in many “buskering” venues from sidewalks and cemeteries to plazas and gardens. Kama Linden’s performance was a success and we can’t wait to see her perform again at MMNY!
