We are very pleased to announce that Peter Bowers has joined the DJ Central and Planet Blue Pictures Team as the Senior Vice Preseident of Production and New Content for North America. You can read his full BIO in the link below.

Peter Bowers is also the President of VAST, LLC and Co-Founder of the DC3 Music Group, the leading indie producer and distributor of long-form Concert Films and Documentaries for the Music Industry. He brings 20 years of entertainment experience in music, film, television, media and marketing to the table.

Peter began his career in entertainment as a recording artist and singer/songwriter fronting several prominent Pop and Rock acts for 10 years, touring nationally and learning the industry from the ground up. He has shared the stage with acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Hiatt and Dave Mason to name a few.

After several years on tour performing in some of the finest venues, Bowers launched an entertainment management company GX1, developing young acts as a major music promoter within Chicago’s music scene during the mid 90’s. The artists he represented found themselves in the company of such acts as Dave Mathews, Alanis Morrisette, Rusted Root, Maceo Parker, Jakob Dylan, and Widespread Panic.

Peter has produced A list talent and productions with artists such as Rage Against The Machine, Guns & Roses, Chickenfoot, Alter Bridge, Slash, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfmother and some of the biggest Pop Music acts in the industry including festival, theatrical and documentary broadcast series releases worldwide. He also holds Platinum and Gold records with Four Guinness World Records for most cameras used in a concert recording.

Peter began his television production and creative broadcast work in Life Style programming in 2005 as Executive Producer of Chicago based New Media Group, B Media. Producing multiple show concepts, pilots, and original series. Along with entertainment, Peter also has many years of experience in technology, serving as the founder and CEO of the new media company GX WEB, formed in 1996 and spending the next ten years in the new media and interactive industry at the corporate agency level in Chicago.

Peter is responsible for developing the Mobile App, CDN, and New Media Campaign, via an advanced “distribution platform” that will connect Concerts, Broadcasts and Theatrical Premiers, “live,” to the world. These include Streaming Mobile, IPTV, HD and 3D Cinematic formats. This led to the early stage inception and creation of award winning Mobile/IPTV Concert App Qello, the 2012 Tech Crunch ‘Top 10 Best Video Entertainment App’. Qello combines Android, Apple, Samsung Media, Google TV, Facebook and major mobile carriers internationally into the premier mobile live concert and music movie distribution platform.

In 2011, Peter became a team member of the World Peace One Foundation Concerts. Joining former LIVE AID and LIVE EARTH producers. He is responsible for developing the Mobile PEACE Movement and building the New Media Platform for the Global Peace Initiative streaming broadcast concerts worldwide by connecting more than a billion people in the cause of improving the Earth.

The World Peace One Foundation is a USA based, Nonprofit Public Charity, whose mission is focused on moving humanity from a “Culture of Violence,” to a “Culture of Peace.” The purpose of our WP1 Global Leadership Council, chaired by senior Nobel Family member, Claes Nobel, is to determine the most critical use of, and allocation of funds toward World Peace, peace education, emergency relief, human rights, nuclear disarmament, landmine eradication, ending human trafficking, etc.

As the new SVP for Production and New Content for Planet Blue Pictures and DJ Central, Peter is responsible for and manages the day to day operations, content production and aggregagtion for North America. He is focussed on growing a world class library of digital content to grow our clients businessess, as well as expanding the combined content libraries for DJ Central, Planet Blue Pictures and Blue Pie Records on a daily basis while insuring quality standards are maintained at all times.  Already instrumental in the landing of other key executives, Peter is not walking but running into his new role.
