Sandy Wilkinson wins the McDonalds busking prize for Charters Towers in Queensland on the weekend. We are all delighted that Sandy has won this great prize. Sandy has been working with our very own Mick Buckley on her new EP and has written and started to record 4 new songs with Mick at the ivories adding his piano magic. The win on the weekend was a very unexpected surprise and McDonalds ask Sandy to perform on the float over the weekend. Sandy was busking with her good friend Steve and she was spotted and the crowd loved her so much and they were cheering that the team at McDonalds spotted her and the rest is now history. Sandy has now been asked to busk outside MacDonald’s next year at Charters Tower and all proceeds that she makes she will donate to Ronald MacDonald House. With that kind of spirit and generosity Sandy is sure to win the hearts of Charters Towers and the rest of Queensland over.
