08 Oct 2011

Blue Pie is very excited to announce that Dave Sharp and the Secret 7 will be at U Detroit (1427 Randolph Detroit, MI) this Friday Oct 8 at 10pm.

They will be playing alongside Dwight Adams, who was the trumpeter for Stevie Wonder, Bill Gaff on keyboards, and Elden Kelly on guitar.

If you are in the area come on down and check out this cool club for a great night of music!

Bassist Dave Sharp’s warm tone and driving rhythms have made him one of the most exciting jazz talents on the Detroit scene today. While earning a degree from the University of Michigan, Sharp became deeply devoted to the study of jazz and the perfection of his art. This devotion culminated in a move to San Francisco where Dave studied jazz and music theory with legendary bassist Herbie Lewis (McCoy Tyner, Cannonball Adderly, Les McCann) at the New College of California. He now plays with his band The Secret Seven.
