Rap and hip-hop fave Kay L continues his legacy as the #1 opening act in Canada, set to kick off for fast-rising DJ Duo The Chainsmokers at the Calgary Stampede on July 9th at the cowboys stampede tent. Though he’s sure to energize the crowd with any of his contagious hits, Kay L won’t be leading the charge at a white-hot performance for the first time, having appeared on tour with the likes Akon, Flo-Rida, Snoop Dogg, Ashanti and D12, to name a few.

The Chainsmokers – DJs Drew Taggart and Alex Pall – originated not too long ago in 2012 and performed live for the time in 2014, when they were 97th on DJ magazines ‘Top 100 Djs’. Since, they hit international charts including no. 1 in the U.S. and U.K. with ‘Closer’, performed at the Ultra Music Festival and the MTV VMAs, have been nominated for dozens of awards and won Best new DJ and Favourite EDM artist at the AMAs and NRJ music awards respectively – in 2016, their spot on the top 100 Djs is 17th.
