Tokyo cyberstorm Sparky Quano set to hit the U.S in a big way !!!
22 Feb 2017

The technical sensation Sparky Quano is venturing out of Tokyo once more to lend his forward-looking, mind-bending musical artistry to several live music venues as well as the prestigious Richmond International Film Festival. Sparky appeals most prominently to the unlikely Ménage à trois of alternative rock, experimental-ambience and visual Kei fans. In a word, Sparky describes his influences as ‘everything’.

Everyone present will get drenched to the bone and brainstem in the synth-acoustic mashups and mid-ambient visitations to new-age and progressive metal.

Sparky starts his return performance to the U.S.A. on the 23rd of Feb at 9pm, at Maggie Mcgarry’s Irish Pub (details below). From there, it’s a straight shot to the Richmond International Film Festival at the Broadberry, where Sparky will share the stage with such names as Rodney the Soul Singer, Naomi Achu, Joey Gallo, Radio B and Alice Tan Ridley.

The Festival proper is scheduled for the 27th Feb until 5th March; Sparky Quano’s performance will be on the 1st of March at 8pm. All events at the Film Festival tend to sell out, so consider saving a bit by grabbing the Advance tickets. It’s going to be a huge festival…150 films from over 35 countries and over 50 bands competing for top honours, not to mention curated talks, workshops and industry sessions. Peruse the Festival website to get a taste of what’s on offer at the bleeding edge of art.

On the 3rd of March, Sparky will be at the sunset boulevard in the legendary Whiskey A Go Go. Anyone who steps foot in the Hall of Fame inducted Whisky A Go Go venue is walking the same stage as iconic bands like System of a Down, Van Halen, Guns N Roses and Mötley Crüe. Sparky Quano will craft the night air alongside The Aviators, Electric Junkies, Velicious as well the headliners L.A. Guns.

Though the Film Festival be over by the 7th of March, Sparky will still be rocking at the top of the list of performers at Churchill’s Pub. The ethereal, experimental and bellicose lineup includes Freaks and Ghosts, Ceramic Hammer and the fantastic instrumentalists The Velocity Gospel. Allegedly, there will be puppets involved.

Any of these events would be a night to remember, and are the perfect opportunity to get involved in the renowned nightlife of America’s most famous locations.
