No Filter Is Making Waves!
18 Oct 2011

2011 has kicked off with a bang! The Tetscity EP was released on the 20th of May with a massive launch party held at Brisbaneโ€™s The Hi-Fi, supported by hip-hop stalwarts The Winnie Coopers. The boys are setting up a line of shows to fill the year and will embark on a tour of Australiaโ€™s east cost, scheduled in November.

No Filter: A band with something to say and nothing to lose. No Filter is a six piece urban movement of rebellious expression that carries a menacing edge of rock, rap, metal and funk. Combining a natural raw energy, their synergy blends with broad influences to encompass a unique and explosive style of cool.

No Filter formed in Brisbane in 2004, perfecting their sound at in garages, living rooms and house parties, before taking out the coveted โ€˜Rockstar Band Competitionโ€™ after only five live performances, confirming a promising future for the freshest band on the block.

Following a live interview with radio station 4ZzZ, No Filter finished this year with a bang, releasing their debut E.P ‘Suit Up’ to a sell out show at The Living room in Paddington. With the recent release of single Where Are You Now, No Filter headlined its launch party held at The Hi-Fi in Brisbaneโ€™s freshest music hub, West End, in February 2011. This release however was just a taste of whatโ€™s to come in the new upcoming EP

The final word from vocalist Jonny is testament to the bandโ€™s evolution, vision, and inspiration: โ€œWe focused on refining our style through a distinct variety of tracks for this record. Musically, we aimed to give each track its own identity, considering our musical tastes and influences being substantially broad, this process took a natural course. We also attempted to convey this with the lyrical content ranging from (true) stories and events of life, to party and somewhat motivational balladsโ€
