A long and difficult road - Down3r and Uno's "Road Ahead" tells of their pain!
1 / 04 / 2021

It’s about time that Down3r hit us all with a new release! His latest release was Side Chick Volume 2 which was a great start to 2021, and before that was a new take on the legendary Suga Boom Boom, featuring LadyDice. The latter was his last new song, and before that was Hear Me Now, Down3r’s latest new song… at least one that wasn’t a retelling of an older tale, as glorious as Down3r’s flagship song may be. Funnily enough, Hear Me Now also featured the one and only Uno Tha Prodigy as well… well, that duo have had something special cooking ever since, and we’re pleased to announce that it’s here and ready for your listening pleasure! “Road Ahead” is a track that’s bound to hit you right in the heart.

And we even have the lyrics ready too! Feast your eyes!

LYRICS:

Intro –
Just another long road ahead
Just another big mountain to climb
I gotta see what lies ahead
I gotta see what I just might find
Now all this pain inside of me
Wrapped up and I keep it real tight
Depression keeps finding me
Just trying to make it through the night

Verse 1 –
You gotta know what I’ve been through
I know you see what I seen through my eyes
All these things that I sin for I pick them up and let you down then came the lights
So many times I fit the crimes my hands are up my hands held high
In hopes you see the good in me just one more chance just one more try
I don’t know where I’m going and I don’t know what I’m doing with my life
When the wind will be blowin but you can find me there just please be kind
I need you find my piece of mind what I have seen has made me blind
Hope you can see the good in me so I can be forever free

Chorus –
Just another long road ahead
Just another big mountain to climb
I gotta see what lies ahead
I gotta see what I just might find
Now all this pain inside of me
Wrapped up and I keep it real tight
Depression keeps finding me
Just trying to make it through the night

Verse 2 –
Let me fly to the heaven
Let me fly till I reach and touch the cloud
All these roads lead to dead end
It’s all on me to try and figure this out
No I won’t quite no I wont stall
I might just trip but I wont fall
I might get bit but I wont call on you at all to save me
Just another long road ahead
Just another big mountain to climb
I gotta see what lies ahead
I gotta see what I just might find

Uno Tha Prodigy:
I’ve been on the road got a million miles down for the chase
Out for the race running on the down better days I’ve been searching for another way never to find it yet I’m blessed though its complicated I’m looking to find the breathe to climb then my mental have to bleed it through the times and battling the darkness, demons feed on mind try And pull back fall up on my knees for the fight, I done made it too far for this awkward inside looking for a light been this internal for years but looking towards the shine do my best to find of these tears for my fears overwhelm me stuck up in a hell like a cell be solitary mind someone help me, I’m pushing

Outro –
Just another long road ahead
Just another big mountain to climb
I gotta see what lies ahead
I gotta see what I might find
Now all this pain inside of me
Wrapped up and I keep it real tight
Depression keeps finding me
Just trying to make it through the night

Words like that will really get you. It’s an emotional piece for sure, and it’s spoken from two individuals who know a lot more struggles than most. They really had to grind hard to become the successful artists which they are today, and they aren’t shy to tell you – because with the pain and passion in their words and talent, you’ll know they aren’t lying about it.

With an evocative music video featuring visuals by Guap City productions and Tony Montanan entertainment, this track is sure to stick with you for a long time to come whether you watch it or listen to it. The Spotify release is in the works, and it’s already poised to be added to our playlists as another hard-hitting truth statement from Down3r and Uno. DL has really carved out his definitive niche with this brand of song, between Hear Me Now and Wear Me Down and now this, he isn’t afraid to show you the 44 years of pain and beyond that he’s lived through. His man Uno is also ready to show you the road he’s walked, the depressions he’s fought, and everything he’s overcome. These feelings are silent killers, and can be deadly as a bullet… especially since they often come from the darkest parts of ourselves. To fight yourself and win is one of the strongest things of all. These boys have done it a dozen times over. Their music is here for you while you fight off your own demons. It might be a rough road ahead, but you got this. DL and Uno can, so you can too.

Stay tuned for the track’s release on Spotify and other distribution platforms beyond! DL isn’t done by a long shot, and 2021 looks like it’s gonna be his year for sure! And with Uno in his corner, there’s nothing the pair can’t do!
