29 Apr 2021

Key Loch’s cover of this iconic hit is going well!

Madonna’s “Frozen” is a throwback that’s resurfacing in a big way thanks to Key Loch and Missy Crissy. Their cover is galvanised and adds an extra kick of guitar, lending the song an edge that greatly suits this interpretation and helps express the pain in the lyrics.

Key Loch are on a roll, considering how well the other hits from Key Loch’s Damien Reilly and Justin Gross went, those being Where Is The Love and Come Home To Me! Not to mention the duo’s extensive history with their old group of Southpaw, and of course Missy Crissy’s excellent vocals in the cover; what else could you expect but this quality, when you consider her excellent work in “Passenger”? Well luckily for all you Missy fans, we have exclusive footage for you. Check out her work in motion, as she records in the studio!

And of course as you’ll know, the project she says she’s working on in the clip is indeed Frozen, among other singles in her catalogue! Doing Romania proud, the vocals she lent to “Frozen” have made sure that it’s a cover, no… a song like no other! It’s always a privilege to see work like this in the making, and Missy Crissy delivered a spectacular performance, after all – so it’s great to see all the pieces come together like this. Nice and crisp, like a fresh frost!

If Frozen does half as well as Key Loch’s crown jewel Where Is The Love, the entire world will be frozen in awe at this soulful song yet! And as if that wasn’t enough, some remixes are on their way from the talented Gabe Rizza and the Blue Pie Records DJ team, so keep a sharp eye out! This may be the next big thing. As the lyrics say, “love is a bird, she needs to fly”! And we’re loving all this content Key Loch is delivering to our doorstep. The internet has been their playground lately, as has the radio world! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next… so until then, we’ll be keeping a close eye on their spicy Spotify to warm our frozen worlds!

Despite this, Missy Crissy rose valiantly to the challenge! Fast forward to December 2015, and with the help of B2K’s Raz B, Missy was scouted. She was spotted in her natural element, performing in Shanghai. A better job interview, you couldn’t ask for! A few quick calls from Raz B to the team at DJ Central Records in Hong Kong later, and Missy was signed to a world wide publishing and recording deal in a heartbeat. Her 1st release was her self titled album “Missy Crissy”. A year later and she was rolling in popularity, seeing millions of plays on Youtube, with her fanbase growing to this very day!
